Motorcyclist dies in hospital after B9113 crash
A 26-year-old man has died following a serious road crash on the B9113 at the Pitkennedy crossroads
The incident happened around 11.20am on Monday, 24 July, 2023 and involved a Kawasaki motorcycle and a Renault HGV.
The motorcyclist, who can be named as Darian Baird from Brechin, was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment to serious injuries.
He died in hospital in the early hours of Wednesday, 26 July.
The 47-year-old male driver of the lorry did not require hospital treatment.
Sergeant Gordon Dickson, from Tayside Divisional Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with Darian’s family and friends at this difficult time.
Our enquiries remain ongoing and I would urge anyone with information which hasn’t yet been passed to police to contact 101 with reference number 1079 of 24 July.”
