Man sentenced for drugs offences in Aberdeen
A 26-year-old man has been sentenced in relation to drugs offences in Aberdeen.
Connor Smart pleaded guilty to the offences on Thursday, 29 June, 2023 at the High Court in Edinburgh and was sentenced today, 27 July, at the High Court in Glasgow to four years and two months in prison.
On Friday, 15 April, 2022 officers recovered cocaine worth around £94,000 in Aberdeen and on Tuesday, 1 December, 2022 cocaine worth around £225,700 was found hidden within a wall bordering farmland in Kingswells, Aberdeenshire.
Detective Inspector Robin Sim of the Specialist Crime Division said: “This sentencing sends a clear message to anyone who is involved in organised crime that the supply of illegal substances will not be tolerated in our communities and underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
