Man jailed after being found guilty of Glasgow murder
A 39-year-old man has been jailed after he was found guilty of the murder of William Duncan in Glasgow.
Mark McConville was convicted of murder after a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh in June.
He was sentenced today (Thursday, 20 July) at the High Court in Glasgow to a minimum 18 years imprisonment.
Mr Duncan was found deceased at a property on Glenalmond Street in Shettleston on Thursday, 3 February, 2022.
Detective Inspector Frank Travers said: “Mark McConville committed a despicable act against a vulnerable member of the community.
“While nothing can change what happened, I hope the fact he has now been found guilty and will face the consequences of his actions will provide some degree of closure to William Duncan’s family and friends.”
