Appeal for information following wilful fire in Saltcoats

Officers are appealing for information following a wilful fire in Saltcoats.

The incident happened around 11pm on Thursday, 20 July, 2023 on Talisman Walk, when a couch was set on fire outside a property.

The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

Detective Constable John Cuthbert said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed this, or has any information that could assist us, to get in touch.

“We are also appealing to anyone who may have doorbell or dashcam footage to contact us.

“Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 4408 of 20 July, 2023.”
