Appeal following attempted murder of two men in Stevenston
Police are appealing for witnesses following the attempted murder of two men in Ayrshire on Saturday, 8 July 2023.
Around 12.40am on Saturday, 8 July 2023, police attended Forde Crescent at Hyslop Road, Stevenston, where two men, aged 27 and 28, were found seriously injured.
The 28-year-old man was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow and has since been discharged.
The 29-year-old man was treated at Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock and has since been discharged.
Officers are treating the incident as attempted murder and are following positive lines of enquiry.
Detective Sergeant Peter Sweeney, North Ayrshire CID, said: “Enquiries are ongoing into the attack and we would appeal to anyone who was in the area between 12.20am and 1am to come forward to police.
“Forde Crescent is a residential area and I am sure people would have either seen or heard the disturbance outside.
“If you have not yet come forward to police and may have information that could help our investigation, including dashcam or doorbell footage, then please call police via 101.
