Appeal following assault with intent to rob at premises in Coatbridge
Officers are appealing for information following an assault with intent to rob at a store in Coatbridge.
The incident happened around 9.20pm on Tuesday, 18 July, on Woodside Street in the town when a male youth entered the premises.
A member of staff was assaulted but did not require medical treatment.
The youth is described as aged around 18 to 20-years-old, around 5ft 5ins and of slim build. He was wearing a black jumper and grey and black shorts.
Detective Constable Lisa McMullen said: “Fortunately no one was injured and our enquiries are ongoing to trace the youth responsible for this unprovoked assault.
“Anyone who saw what happened is asked to get in touch and I am also appealing to those driving in the area at the time who may have dash-cam footage that could assist our investigation to make contact with us.”
