Appeal following an assault on Russell Drive, Ayr

Detectives are appealing for information after a man was assaulted on Russell Drive, Ayr.

The incident happened around 11pm on Monday, 10 July, 2023, when the 41-year-old man was walking along the road.

He was approached by another man and sustained facial and hand injuries which required hospital treatment.

Detective Constable Liam Campbell said: “This appears to have been an unprovoked attack and we are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened.

“If you were in the area at the time and have dash-cam footage that could help or live nearby and have private CCTV then please get in touch.”
