Appeal after attempted robbery in Glasgow
Officers are appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery on London Road in Glasgow.
The incident happened near to Bridgeton Cross around 3.35am on Wednesday, 28 June.
Two men were walking from the city centre area when they was approached by an unidentified man who threatened him with a hammer and demanded money and a mobile phone.
They were able to make off on foot. Nothing was stolen and no one was injured.
The man is described as being white, aged 20 to 30-years-old and speaking with a local Glasgow accent.
He was wearing a black jacket with white or reflective trim, a black hat or balaclava, light coloured jogging bottoms and white trainers.
He was carrying a claw hammer or similar item with a black handle.
Constable Ross Gallacher said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone with information or who may have seen or heard a disturbance to get in touch.
