Update following incidents in Dundee
Three boys, two aged 14 and one 13-year-old, have been charged following a number of alleged break-ins, a vandalism and wilful fire-raisings in Dundee.
The first incident happened around 9.50 pm on Thursday, 19 January 2023, when police were called to an alleged fire-raising at Rainbow House, Drumlanrig Drive, Dundee. A 14-year-old boy has been charged in connection with the incident.
The second incident, an alleged vandalism, took place around 0.35 am on Monday, 23 January 2023 at Fairfield Sport & Leisure Club, Drumgeith Road, Dundee. A 13-year-old boy has been charged following the incident.
Following a further two incidents, an alleged break-in and wilful fire-raising at Braeview Academy, Berwick Drive, around 2 am on Monday, 23 January 2023 and an alleged break-in to Craigie High School, Garnet Terrace, around 3 am on the same day, three boys, two aged 14 years and a 13-year-old, have been charged in connection with the incidents.
A report will be forwarded to the Scottish Children’s Reporters Administration for consideration for each of the above.
