Two wilful fireraisings in Faifley, Clydebank
Detectives at Clydebank are appealing for information after two incidents of wilful fireraising in Faifley on Monday, 2 January, 2023.
The first report was received by officers around 4.45am when a Ford Mondeo car parked in a driveway in Knowes View was set on fire.
The second report was received around 5.45am when a Skoda parked on Craigpark Street was set on fire.
Detective Constable Jack Muir said: “Luckily no one was injured during these incidents, however the consequences could have been very serious.
“We believe that these two incidents may be linked and we are continuing our enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding them. We are working to identify the driver of a dark-coloured Audi who was seen near both addresses around the time the fires were set. I would ask anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or who has information that may assist our investigation to contact us. We are also keen to gather any dash-cam or personal footage from these areas around the times stated.”
