Two men arrested and charged with drug offences following vehicle stop on the A9 near Perth
Two men from the Manchester area have been arrested and charged in connection with drug offences following a routine stop on the A9 near Perth.
Road policing officers stopped a white Kia Sportage around 5pm on Tuesday, 24 January, just south of the Broxden roundabout.
A search of the vehicle was carried out and a quantity of herbal cannabis with a street value of around £156,000 was recovered.
Two men, the driver and a passenger, one aged 53 and one aged 31, were arrested and charged in connection with drug offences. They are due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Thursday, 26 January, 2023.
