Two charged following car crash and drugs find on Mid Stocket Road, Aberdeen
Detectives in Aberdeen have charged two men in connection with drugs and road traffic offences, following an incident on Mid Stocket Road, where a car failed to stop for officers and subsequently crashed.
The incident took place around 8.30pm on Sunday, 8 January, 2023. At the time, a 17-year-old male youth was arrested and released pending further investigation.
Following further enquiries, police can confirm a quantity of cannabis was recovered from the vehicle, with an estimated value of £10,000.
A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident, and is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 25 January, 2023. The 17-year-old youth has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Constable Rob Graham, from Aberdeen CID, said: “Drug misuse brings nothing but misery to our communities. I want to reassure people across the North East that Police Scotland will use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from our streets.”
