Six men charged after cannabis cultivation was discovered in Kilmarnock
Six men have been arrested and charged following the discovery of a cannabis cultivation in Kilmarnock.
Officers from Ayrshire Proactive Crime Team along with divisional officers from East Ayrshire executed a drugs search warrant at a property in West Langlands Street at around 10am on Wednesday, 18 January, 2023.
The cultivation has an estimated street value in excess of £750,000.
The men, aged 20, 23, 23, 32, 36, 36 are expected to appear at Kilmarnock Court today (Thursday, 19 January, 2023).
Detective Sergeant Terry McEwan of the Ayrshire Proactive Crime Team said : “One of main priorities is removing drugs from our streets. I would ask anyone with any information about drug activity in their area to report this to us so that we can investigate thoroughly.
“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101 or alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
