Investigation launched after jewellery stolen in Renfrew
Detectives are appealing for information after a house in Renfrew was broken into on Sunday, 15 January, 2023.
Officers believe the house in Hallidale Crescent, was broken into between the hours of 3.40pm and 5pm. No-one was within the property at the time and several items of jewellery and a quantity of cash were stolen.
Officers are checking CCTV footage from in and around the area for any additional information.
Detective Constable Gary Bruce, Paisley CID said: “The jewellery stolen is of tremendous sentimental value to the owners, both of whom are understandably very upset and distressed at the break-in and theft. I am keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area between midday and 5pm on Sunday, even if you’re not sure your information is relevant, please do contact us and let us decide. It could prove vital in our investigation. I would also like to ask any drivers who were in the area with dash cam to check their images as they may have captured footage which would assist our inquiry.”
