Five men arrested and charged in Aberdeen following search warrants
Officers in Aberdeen have conducted drugs search warrants at properties in the Torry area of Aberdeen as part of ongoing efforts to tackle organised crime in the area.
Nine properties were searched on Tuesday, 17 January, 2023.
As a result of the action, five men aged 23, 29, 34, 35 and 38, were arrested and charged. More than £11,000 in cash was recovered. The men are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 18 January, 2023.
Specialist officers assisted by visiting multiple addresses, including those of which action was taken at, to provide specialist support and advice through partnership agencies.
Detective Inspector Andrew Machray said: “The operation is part of our ongoing commitment to keep drugs off the streets and to provide support to anyone who needs it.
“We work closely with partners, such as housing providers and social work, to ensure anyone affected by drugs is fully supported in taking proactive and positive steps going forward.
“Safeguarding our communities remains a priority and we hope our presence in the area provides reassurance that we take drugs crime seriously.
