Women in Perth steal elderly woman's money.
Officers are appealing for information after a quantity of money was stolen from a lady in Perth.
Between 3.45pm and 4.15pm on 22 December, an 83-year-old woman was within St John’s Shopping Centre, King Edward Street, Perth. She had just withdrawn a quantity of money from the bank for Christmas shopping.
As the lady went to make a purchase, she discovered her money was missing.
Enquiries have established that three females interacted with the lady shortly after she withdrew the money. Officers believe this is when the money was stolen from her bag.
The first woman is in her late 50s, with a stocky build and around 5ft. tall in height. She was wearing dark, bulky clothing and a hat.
A second woman is in her 30s, around 5ft. in height, with a stocky build and long, curly, brown hair.
The third female is also in her 30s, with a stocky build and around 5ft inches in height.
Officers have been reviewing CCTV footage but the three women have still to be identified.
Constable Neil Munro said: “I would ask members of the public to think back and consider if they recognise the descriptions of the women who we believe targeted the elderly lady. If anyone has any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please get in touch with us.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2285 of 22 December 2022. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.
