Appeal for witnesses following road crash - A9, Inverness to Scrabster Road, Easter Ross
Police are appealing for witnesses following a three-vehicle road crash in Easter Ross on Sunday, 1 January, 2023.
Around 5.15 pm, police were called to the crash, involving a white VW Scirocco, white Vauxhall Astra and a white Ford Transit van, on the A9, Inverness to Scrabster Road, near Tomich, by Invergordon in Easter Ross.
The driver of the van, a 24-year-old man, and two women from the Astra, both aged 26 years, were taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital. The 24-year-old man's condition is described by medical staff as being serious but stable. One woman remains in hospital in a stable condition. The second lady was discharged.
The driver and passenger of the VW Scirocco, both men aged 29 and 25 years, were not injured.
The 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged with alleged road traffic offences. He is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday, 2 January 2023. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
