Appeal following serious crash at Bridgend, Kilbirnie

Road policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash at Bridgend, Kilbirnie.

The incident happened around 6.10pm on Tuesday, 10 January, 2023, near to Muirend Street and involved a car and a pedestrian

The pedestrian, a 72-year-old man, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment where his condition is described as stable.

Enquiries are ongoing to trace the car.

Sergeant Gordon Stewart said: “We are appealing to the public for information as part of our ongoing enquiry to establish the full circumstances of what happened.

“If you were in the area at the time then please get in touch. We are keen to speak to any drivers with dash-cam footage that could assist.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2691 of Tuesday, 10 January, 2023.
