Appeal following serious assault in Lenzie

Detectives are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Lenzie.

A 27-year-old man was walking on Boghead Road, Lenzie, near to its junction with Cypress Court, around 12.30pm on 30 December, 2022, when an unknown male left a vehicle and seriously assaulted him with a weapon.

He attended at Glasgow Royal Infirmary Hospital for treatment to facial injuries.

Detective Sergeant Gary Boyle said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information which may assist us to get in touch.

“I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have dashcam or personal CCTV footage which could assist to contact us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 1326 of 3 January, 2023.
