Suspicious fire in Coatbridge

Police Scotland is appealing for information following a wilful fire-raising in Coatbridge.

Around 7.30pm on Tuesday, 31 January, 2023, police received a report a report of a vehicle on fire in Southfield Crescent in Coatbridge.

Enquiries carried out so far have established a man was seen running from the location just after the fire. The suspect is around 5ft. 10 inches in height, with a slim build and wearing dark coloured clothing. They headed off in the direction of Sikeside Street. They were wearing black coloured clothing.

Officers are continuing to check CCTV footage for any additional information on the incident.
