Men arrested and charged following execution of a drugs warrant in Dundee

Two men have been arrested and charged following a drugs operation in Dundee on Monday, 20 February, 2023.

Around 8.30am officers, acting under warrant, entered a bar in Camperdown Road and discovered a cannabis cultivation site within.

More than 300 hundred plants have been seized, worth an estimated street value of nearly £300,000.

Two men, aged 20 and 31, were arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences. They are due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 21 February, 2023.

Detective Inspector Scott Carswell said: “We will continue to target criminals in our efforts to keep people safe.  Drugs have such a negative impact on people’s lives and we will do everything in our power to rid communities of them. 

“The action taken by officers in this operation prevented this cannabis reaching the streets, thereby stopping it from causing untold harm to local people.”
