Appeal for information following assault in Helensburgh

Officers in Helensburgh are appealing for information following the assault of a man at Hermitage Park.

The assault happened around 11.20pm on Saturday, 18 February, 2023.

The victim, a 20-year-old man, was approached by a group of around seven people and assaulted. He was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment and was later discharged.

Detective Constable Ross Gemmell said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have information to get in touch with officers.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 0096 of 19 February, 2023.

“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
