Appeal following collision in Greenock
Police Scotland is appealing for information following a road crash in Greenock.
Around 5.30pm on Friday, 24 February, 2023, police received a report of a road traffic collision involving a 15-year-old boy and a car on the A78 Inverkip Street, near to Greenock West train station.
Emergency services attended and the child was taken the Royal Hospital for Children. His condition is described as serious but stable.
The male driver of the car was uninjured in the incident.
The road was closed for several hours to allow enquiries to be carried out.
Sergeant Adnan Alam of Glasgow Road Policing said: “I am appealing for anyone with information regarding this incident to contact us. I would ask any motorists particularly with dash cams who were in and around that area to check the footage as it may have captured images that could assist in our investigation.”
