Appeal following assault in the Dens Road area of Dundee

Police in Dundee are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted in the Dens Road area of the city.

The incident took place between the junctions of Arklay Street and Dura Street, sometime between 11.45pm on Sunday, 29 January, and 12.05am on Monday, 30 January, 2023.

The victim, a 17-year-old woman, was uninjured but left shaken as a result of the incident.

The suspect is described as being a man, around 5ft 3, with short dark hair, wearing a black waterproof jacket and dark bottoms.

Detective Constable Emma Claybourne, from Dundee CID, said: “It is believed that several vehicles passed by around the time of the incident and we are keen to speak with the occupants of these vehicles, in case they saw anything which could assist our enquiries.

“Anyone with information, or possible dashcam footage from the Dens Road area, should call police on 101, quoting incident 0018 of 30 January, 2023.”
