Man who died in Lanarkshire crash named
A man who died in a crash near Lesmahagow has now been named.
He was Blane Rundell, 22, from the Lanarkshire area.
Mr Rundell was the driver of a red Suzuki Alto car which was involved in a collision with a HGV on the B7078 north of Kerse Roundabout near Lesmahagow.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one else was injured.
A 20-year-old man was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence.
Sergeant Chris McColm, of the Lanarkshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with Blane’s family at this very difficult time.
“We are continuing to work to establish the full circumstances and would urge anyone who may have information which has not yet been passed to police to get in touch.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 0524 of 7 December.”
