Appeal for witnesses following serious crash on A941 in Elgin
Road policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash on the A941 in Elgin.
The collision, involving a pedestrian and a red Seat Toledo, happened on New Elgin Road around 3.10am on Saturday, 30 December, 2023.
The pedestrian, a 30-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition. The driver of the car, a 51-year-old man, was not injured.
The road was closed while investigations were carried out and reopened around 10.30am.
Road Policing Sergeant Alexander Bowser-Riley said: “I’m appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either the car or pedestrian beforehand, to come forward.
“In particular I would be extremely keen to speak to the driver of a white Ford Focus who was in the area at the time and may have vital information.
“Similarly, I’d ask anyone with dashcam footage on the A941 around the time to review this and bring anything of significance to our attention.”
