Appeal for witnesses following assault in Glasgow

Officers are appealing for information following a serious assault in Glasgow on Thursday, 28 December 2023.

Police were called to reports of an injured man on Ashton Lane, Glasgow around 1.15am.

Emergency services attended and a 45-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.

Officers are following a positive line of enquiry.

Detective Sergeant Alastair Taylor said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident."

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0167 of Thursday, 28 December.
