Appeal for information following serious assault in Calton area of Glasgow
Detectives are appealing for information following a serious assault which occurred in the Calton area of Glasgow on Monday, 4 December, 2023.
Around 5.15pm a man was assaulted by another man who was unknown to him near to Green Close.
Emergency services attended and the 29-year-old victim was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to stab wounds and later discharged.
The suspect is described as wearing dark clothing with a face mask and made off along London Road, heading in the direction of Glasgow Green.
Detective Constable Scott Newbigging from Shettleston CID said: “A man has been seriously injured in this violent attack and extensive enquiries are ongoing to identify and trace the individual responsible.
“I am appealing for any witnesses who were in the Calton area on Monday evening and saw what happened to please get in touch.
“I would also urge anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage which could be of significance to the investigation to come forward.
