Appeal for information following assault in Old Halkerton Road, Forfar

Detectives in Forfar are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in the town.

Around 1.50am on Saturday, 9 December, 2023, a 39-year-old man was found injured in Old Halkerton Road near to Potters Park.

He was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment.

Detective Sergeant Colin Watson said: “This attack has left the victim with serious injuries and we are carrying out extensive enquiries to identify the person responsible

“We ask anyone with information, which could assist our investigation, to please call police on 101, quoting incident 357 of Saturday, 9 December, 2023.”
