Officers are investigating a hate crime in Fort William
Officers in Fort William are appealing for information after a hate crime took place on Friday, 4 August.
Around 4 pm, a 45-year-old man spoke with around 15 - 20 youths in the High Street close to the Royal Bank of Scotland. Two of the youths then entered a shop and racially abused the man within.
The first suspect who entered the shop is described as aged between 15 to 17 years of age, 5 ft 7 ins in height and of medium build with short, blond hair. He was wearing a light-blue and black North Face jacket.
The second suspect was also aged between 15-17 years and around 5ft 5 ins in height. He was wearing a black jacket.
Sergeant Brian Heriot from Fort William Police Station said: “This type of behaviour is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
“Our enquiries are continuing to identify those involved in this hate crime and I would urge anyone who was in the area around 4pm on Friday afternoon who witnessed this incident, or who has any information that may assist our enquiry to contact us.
