Man who died in the Greenock murder has been named
A man who died in the Angus Road area of Greenock on Sunday, 30 July, 2023 has been named as Lee Elliott, from the local area.
Mr Elliot was taken to hospital following a disturbance involving three men which happened around 9.50 pm. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
His death is being treated as murder.
A 46-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death.
Detective Inspector Ally Semple of the Major Investigation Team said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr Elliot at this difficult time, as well as everyone in the local community affected by his death."
