Man sentenced in relation to drugs offences in Moray
A 20-year-old man has been sentenced in relation to drugs offences in the Moray area.
Aiden James McCrea pleaded guilty to the offences on Friday, 30 June, 2023 at the High Court in Edinburgh.
He was sentenced today, 11 August, 2023, at the High Court in Edinburgh to two years and eight months in prison.
On Friday, 14 July, 2023, officers recovered cocaine with an estimated street value of around £253,000 from a property in the Aberlour area of Moray, following an intelligence-led enquiry.
Detective Inspector Robin Sim of the Specialist Crime Division said: “This sentencing sends a clear message to anyone who is involved in organised crime that the supply of illegal substances will not be tolerated in our communities and underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
