Man charged in connection with Greenock death
A 46-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a 37-year-old man, following an incident in the Angus Road area of Greenock.
He is expected to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court today (Tuesday, 1 August, 2023).
The incident took place around 9.50pm on Sunday, 30 July, 2023, when officers received a report of a disturbance involving three men.
All three men were taken to hospital and the 37-year-old man was pronounced dead a short time later.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out. However, the death is being treated as murder, and his next of kin have been made aware.
