Appeal for information following robbery in Ayr
Police Scotland is appealing for information following a robbery in Ayr.
The incident happened around 2.40am on Sunday, 6 August, 2023, outside a property in the Princes Court area.
A 19-year-old man was approached by a man who demanded cash and threatened him with a knife before taking his mobile phone. This was later recovered.
There were no injuries however the 19-year-old man has been left shaken by what happened.
The suspect is described as a white male, aged around 20-30 years-old, and of medium build. He was wearing a dark jacket and light-coloured trousers.
Detective Constable Ainsley Sweeney said: “Fortunately no one was injured and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“We are keen to trace the man involved and I am asking anyone who saw what happened or saw the man to get in touch.
“In addition, if you were driving in the area and have dash-cam footage that could help with our investigation then please make contact with us.”
