Appeal for information following building fire, Glasgow
We are appealing for information following a deliberate fire at a derelict building in Glasgow.
The fire happened on Busby Road on the evening of Thursday, 17 August, 2023, around 8.40pm and is being treated as wilful fire-raising.
Police and emergency services were called and the fire was extinguished by Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
No one was injured however significant damage was caused to the building.
Detective Constable Declan Quinn-Thomas, of Aitkenhead Road CID, said: “This was a significant fire and thankfully no-one was injured.
“I would urge anyone with any information to make contact with police.
“Think back, did you see or hear anything suspicious or unusual in the area that evening? Perhaps you have private CCTV or dash-cam footage that could assist with our enquiries? If so, please get in touch.”
