Appeal for information after crash on B9157 near Kirkcaldy

Road Policing Officers are appealing for information after a serious road crash on the B9157 near Kirkcaldy on Wednesday, 16 August, 2023.

The crash happened around 1.30pm and involved a blue Kawasaki motorbike.

The motorcyclist, a 59-year-old man, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where staff describe his condition as critical.

The road was closed and reopened around 11.20pm.

Sergeant Lee Walkingshaw said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact us. We would particularly like to speak to two people who assisted the man following the crash.

“Any drivers with dash-cam footage that may help assist our enquiries to please get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1826 of 16 August, 2023.
