Appeal following serious crash in West Calder
Road policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash in West Calder.
The incident happened around 3.35pm on Sunday, 21 August, 2023, on the A70 at its junction with the B7008 in West Calder and involved a car and a red Aprilia motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 58-year-old man, was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary by ambulance for treatment. The driver of the vehicle, a 49-year-old woman, was also taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary as a precaution.
The road was closed for around four hours to allow for crash investigations to be carried out.
Sergeant Scott Kirkpatrick said: “Our enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of this crash.
“I would urge anyone who may have seen the vehicle involved prior to the incident, or who has any dash-cam footage, to come forward.
"We are particularly interested in speaking to the driver of a silver vehicle who was in the area at the time."
