Appeal following series of thefts in Ayrshire
Ayrshire Priority Policing Team are appealing for information following a series of thefts in the areas of Ayr, Newmilns and Kilmarnock on Thursday, 17 August, 2023.
The incidents took place between 12am and around 10am and the targets appear to be work vans.
Inspector Iain Farmer said: "We would appeal to anyone who has any information regarding the thefts or who may have any relevant CCTV or ring doorbell footage, to contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 0251 of 17 August. Details can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
"I would like to take this opportunity to remind members of the public to ensure that their vehicles and houses are locked and secured to prevent any opportunists from carrying out similar incidents."
