Appeal after toilet attendant assaulted in Troon
Officers are appealing for witnesses after a toilet attendant was assaulted in Troon.
The incident happened around 1.30pm on Monday, 28 August near a bus stop on North Shore Road in the town, after an incident within nearby public toilets on the same street.
The 71-year-old male attendant challenged three men who were within a cubicle in the toilets and asked them to leave.
The men have then followed the attendant, pushing him to the group before kicking and striking him to the body.
The men left the scene in the direction of Walker Avenue, Troon.
They are described as being white and all of skinny build. All are believed to have been wearing hoodies and one had a puffer jacket in top. One had a balaclava or something similar on their face.
Inspector Ian McColl said: “This was a distressing incident for the man involved and we are continuing with extensive enquiries to identify the others involved.
“We would urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam or private CCTV from the area to get in touch.
“Two passing cyclists also came to the man’s aid but left before giving their details. If this was you please get in touch as you may be able to help with our investigation.
