Serious road crash on the A71, Irvine
Road Policing Officers are appealing for information after a man was struck by a car on the A71, near Irvine on Wednesday, 19 April, 2023.
Around 10.35pm, a 45-year-old man was struck by a grey Toyota Auris on the A71 eastbound between Warrix intercharge and Corsehill Mount roundabout.
Police and Ambulance attended and the pedestrian was taken to Crosshouse Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries. Hospital staff describe his condition as stable.
Sergeant Gordon Stewart from the Road Policing Unit at Irvine said: “Enquiries are ongoing into the cause of the crash and I would appeal to any witnesses, or anyone with information that may assist us, to make contact. I am also keen to obtain any dashcam from motorists driving on the road around the time of the crash.
“Anyone with information should contact us through 101 quoting reference number 4098 of 19 April.”
