Pedestrian named following fatal crash in Clydebank

An 82-year-old pedestrian who died following a crash in Clydebank has been named as James Malloy.

The incident happened on Chalmers Street around 11.45am on Saturday, 15 April, 2023.

James was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Sergeant Archie McGuire said: “Our thoughts remain with James’ family and friends at this difficult time.

“Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have information or dashcam footage who has not yet spoken to us to come forward.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 1375 of 15 April, 2023.”
