Man arrested for drugs offences following road crash in Glasgow

Around 6.25pm on Wednesday, 26 April, 2023, officers from Roads Policing stopped a vehicle on the A73, near Auchenkilns, Cumbernauld. As soon as the car stopped, the driver ran off from officers.

Following a foot pursuit, he was apprehended. A search of the vehicle resulted in a quantity of cannabis, with a potential street value of £10,000 and unopened containers being recovered.

A 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Thursday, 27 April, 2023
