Appeal for information following housebreaking and theft in Duns

Detectives in Galashiels are appealing for information following a housebreaking and the theft of two cars in Duns.

The incident happened between 10.30pm on Sunday, 16 April and 8am on Monday, 17 April at a property on Preston Road.

Keys for a grey Volkswagen Golf GTI Performance, and a black BMW 435D XDrive M Sport Auto convertible were stolen from the property and the cars were then taken from the driveway.

Detective Constable Ashley Black said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously around this area at the time, or anyone who has knowledge of where the stolen cars are now.

“We encourage anyone with CCTV or Ring doorbell cameras to please check your footage around this time and get in touch as this may assist in our enquiries.”

Anyone who has information should contact police via 101 quoting incident number 0502 of 17 April, 2023.
