Appeal for information following break-in and theft, Ellon

Police are appealing for information following a break-in and theft from a bird hide near Ellon.

The incident it believed to have taken place between Sunday, 9 April, and Monday, 10 April, 2023, however was only discovered earlier this week.

Entry was gained to the hide in Gillha woods, in the area of Haddo Estate, and number of low-value items were taken.

Sergeant Kelly Green, from Ellon Police Office, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone with information on this break-in or who was in the area between these times and who may have seen anything that could assist us to get in touch.

“We are particularly keen to trace three males who were seen in the area on bicycles on Sunday, 9 April.”
