Man arrested following incident near football pitches in Hamilton

A man has been arrested and charged following an incident near football pitches on Dixon Street in Hamilton. 

Officers were called to a report of a 17-year-old female being assaulted at around 8pm on Saturday, 24 September, 2022.

Following enquiries, a 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
​
He is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday, 30 September, 2022.
​
