Appeal for witnesses after serious assault in Cumnock
Officers are appealing for witnesses following an assault and attempted theft in New Cumnock.
The incident happened in the Leggate area of the town around 5.15pm on Friday, 2 September, 2022.
A 35-year-old man was treated at the scene.
The first suspect is described as a white man, around 40-years-old, with dark coloured hair and a scar from his left eye to his lip. He was wearing a black hoodie, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
The second suspect is described as a white man, around 20-years-old, with short, black hair shaved at the side. He was wearing a white jumper and jeans.
Detective Constable Kevin Simpson of Ayrshire CID said: “Our enquiries are ongoing into this incident and I would urge anyone with information to come forward.
“We are keen to speak to anyone in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident.
“We would also be keen to hear from anyone driving passed at the time who may have dashcam footage.
“Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident 2740 of 2 September, 2022.”
