Appeal for information following fatal crash in Johnstone
Road policing officers in Renfrewshire are appealing for information after a fatal crash in Johnstone.
Police were called to Beith Road at the junction with Overton Road around 3.30am on Thursday, 15 September, 2022 after a blue Vauxhall Astra was involved in a collision with a wall.
The driver, the only occupant of the car, a 31-year-old woman, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The road was closed while crash investigations were carried out and re-opened around 7am.
Sergeant James Crawford, Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the car before the crash to get in touch with us. Likewise, anyone who may have dashcam footage of that area please review it and contact police with anything that may be relevant.”
