Appeal for information following a serious assault in Elgin

Officers are appealing for information after a 39-year-old man was found with serious injuries in Elgin.

The man was found by members of the public on City Arms Close, around 2.15am on Sunday, 4 September, 2022 and left the scene after being helped to his feet.

He later attended at Dr Grays Hospital for treatment.

Constable Jamie Barclay said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone with information to get in touch.

“We would be keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone who went to the aid of the man.

“Anyone with information should call police via 101, quoting incident 0772 of 6 September, 2022, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
