VW Golf deliberately set on fire in Paisley
Detectives are continuing enquiries after a car in Paisley was set on fire.
Around 8.20pm on Wednesday, 26 October, 2022, a silver VW Golf R32 was parked in Thrushcraig Crescent when it was deliberately set alight.
Enquiries are have established three people dressed in black were seen prior to the incident.
One person was wearing a black hat, black top and black trousers. They were wearing black and white trainers and carrying a petrol can.
The second suspect was wearing a black hat, black top, black trousers with a white stripe down the trouser legs. They were also seen carrying a pole.
The third suspect was wearing a black hat, black top, black trousers with white trainers. This person was carrying what looked like a baseball bat.
The three suspects get out of a small white panel van and set fire to the car. They immediately get back in the van and make off. No-one was injured in this incident, however, the window of a house was also smashed.
Officers continue to review CCTV footage for any additional information about the incident.
Detective Constable Gary Bruce said: “We believe this was a targeted attack and I am appealing to anyone who may have seen a white van in the area or who may have any information about the suspects to contact us. We are continuing to review CCTV footage from in and around this area and I would ask any motorists with dash cams, who were in the area at the time to check their footage as it could have images of the white van, which could assist in our investigation.”
