Road crash- Spittal Road at Alloway Drive, Rutherglen

Police are appealing for information following a three-vehicle road crash in Rutherglen on Friday, 7 October 2022.

Around 1pm, a Kia Venga, a Toyota Yaris and a Skoda Citigo were involved in a collision on Spittal Road at its junction with Alloway Drive, Rutherglen.

Two children from the Toyota Yaris were taken as a precaution to the Royal Hospital for Children. The male driver of the Kia Venga was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. No details on any injury at this time.

Sergeant Laura Thomson, Rutherglen Police Station, is appealing for witnesses. She said:

“We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash and to also view any dash-cam footage from motorists in the area at the time.

“If you have any information you believe may assist officers with their inquiry, then please call police via 101 quoting reference number 1528 of Friday, 7 October 2022.”
